Welcome!  This site is meant as a tribute to Petra. A group considered to be one of the founders of Contemporary Christian Music & Christian Rock.   Petra has helped shape and transform Contemporary Christian Music from its infancy to what we have today.  More so than that, Petra has stayed true to their calling & the Christian message that helped catapult them to be the icons of Christian music.  While many of today's so-called Christian artists have watered down their message, you will not find anything but a bold proclamation for Christ on anything Petra-related.

After four decades of music, Christian music’s top-selling band of all time, Petra retired in 2005 with a final "Farewell  tour" and live recording in Nashville, TN.  While "Petra" is officially retired, John Schlitt & Bob Hartman have soldiered on with Vertical Expressions.
